This project will replace the bridge on Route Y over Cedar Fork Creek Bridge. The structure was built in 1948 and needs to be replaced due to age. The bridge will also be raised to accommodate the flow of Cedar Creek.

Why is the project needed? 

The bridge located on Route Y over Cedar Fork Creek was built in 1948 and needs to be replaced due to age. The bridge will be widened to 22 feet. The bridge will also be raised to accommodate the flow of Cedar Creek. 

 

What will the traffic impacts consist of?

The traffic plan will be released once MoDOT is closer to construction. There will be a detour in place during construction. The project will take approximately three months. The bridge is located in Franklin County, where Route Y crosses Cedar Creek, an estimated 8 miles north of Highway 50 in Gerald, MO.

How much does the project cost?

The project is estimated to cost $1.5 million. 

Is MoDOT purchasing property from landowners?

MoDOT will not need to purchase right-of-way for this project.
