Project Updates

Frequently Asked Questions:

Will there be signed detours on Route 60?

Yes. While Route 60 is reduced to one lane in each direction, Route Z traffic accessing westbound U.S. Route 60 a signed detour will direct drivers east to the Route A interchange at Diggins.

Will the Route 60 bridges be closed (or worked on) at the same time?

No. Only one bridge will be closed at a time during construction.

Will any roads be closed during construction?

Yes. Front St. under the bridges will be closed for the duration of construction. Route PP (Main St.) will be reduced to one lane under Route 60 with traffic controlled using temporary signals.

Will I be able to access my property?

Yes. All roads and entrances will have access during construction. Access may be via a slightly different route at times.

Will MoDOT need to acquire additional right-of-way for this project?

No. The work being done to these bridges does not require any additional right-of-way.

How much will this project cost?

The total estimated project cost is $8.1 million.
