About the Project
The bridge on Missouri Route Z over Keeney Creek approximately 1 mile south of Orrick in Ray County will be replaced. While safe to travel on, the existing bridge has reached the end of its service life.
Timeline

Traffic Impacts
MO Z will be closed to traffic over the bridge throughout construction and there will not be an official detour.
MoDOT will implement a one-lane bridge crossing at Missouri Route Z over Keeney Creek approximately 1 mile south of Orrick beginning on (approximately) 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15. Due to the one-lane configuration, drivers headed in both directions will need to yield to oncoming traffic. There will also be a 25-ton weight limit on the bridge.
Public Meeting
A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 26 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Orrick Community Center located at 111 E South Front St, Orrick, MO 64077. The meeting will provide the opportunity for attendees to ask questions, learn more about the project, and leave a comment. MoDOT is committed to providing access to this event for all participants. The meeting will be an open house meeting with no formal presentation. Following the public meeting there will also be an opportunity to view project displays and exhibits and leave comments on the project webpage beginning at 4 pm on Tuesday, August 26 until 4 pm on Tuesday, September 9.
