Project Milestones
Spring 2020
2020
The bridge will be closed up to three months during construction.
What is the purpose of the online meeting?
The purpose of the online meeting is to provide information and receive feedback from motorists on plans to replace the bridge over Mistaken Creek on Missouri Route D in Osage County, approximately 2.8 miles west of Route A.
Why is this work necessary?
The existing bridge over Mistaken Creek was built in 1954 and is sixty-five years old. The condition of the bridge has reached a point where a bridge replacement is necessary.
How will traffic be affected?
During construction Route D will be closed at the bridge for up to three months. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes around the construction. Signs will alert motorists of the closed road and a detour route will be signed.
When will the work take place?
This project along with the Route A bridge replacement project over Third Creek in Gasconade County are scheduled to be awarded together in the spring of 2020, with construction taking place in 2020. The bridges will not be closed at the same time.
Will additional Right of Way be needed to construct this project?
Additional Right of Way will be required for the construction of the bridge.
What will the project cost?
The total construction cost is approximately $567,000.
