Rehabilitation of Cooper County Routes M & Z Bridges over I-70 (Complete)
Below are details, resources and news about the rehabilitation of the 60-year-old bridges on Cooper County Routes M & Z over Interstate 70, located approximately 10 and 15 miles west of Boonville, respectively. Both bridges reached a point where rehabilitation is necessary.

The project took place in 2022.
Cost:
The contract amount is $1,650,249.
Work Taking Place:
Rehabilitation consisted of deck repair and a new concrete wearing surface will be applied, which improves the smoothness of the ride across the bridges. The rehabilitation was necessary to extend the life and usability of both bridges.
Project Milestones
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the contract for the project to Widel, Inc., which submitted the low bid of $1,650,249.
The preliminary work allowed the contractor to complete the curb block outs for both bridges, in hopes to help accelerate work on both bridges in the project.
