Hollister, Taney County – Those interested in the Business Loop 65 Bridge Replacement Project Over MNA Railroad in Hollister are invited to a public meeting to discuss proposed improvements and project information on Thursday, October 22, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The come-and-go style meeting will be held from 4:30 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, at the Hollister Train Depot, 294 Esplanade Dr, Hollister. No formal presentation is planned. Those who attend may come anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to learn about the project, ask questions, and leave comments.
Those unable to attend the in-person meeting can view exhibits and obtain project information at www.modot.org/southwest. Comments on this project can be mailed in, emailed, or submitted online through the project website until Thursday, November 5. For those unable to access the online meeting, contact MoDOT’s Southwest District Office, and accommodations will be made to share the information and gather feedback.

Project highlights:
- Replace the Business Route 65 bridge over the MNA railroad between Esplanade Road and Whitehall Street in Hollister
- The new bridge structure will be 6 feet 7 inches wider and 37 feet longer than the old bridge
- Includes a pedestrian walkway on the north side of the bridge
Traffic Impacts:
- Business Route 65 CLOSED over the MNA railroad for up to 2 weeks during construction
- Signed detour: U.S. Route 65, Missouri Route 76
- Drivers will encounter flaggers on Old Mill Road under the bridge
- Intersection of Esplanade Drive and Business 65 CLOSED for up to 4 months during construction
Construction is scheduled to begin Summer 2027.
