LEES SUMMIT – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, at the Farris Theatre in Richmond.

Many items will be on this month’s agenda, including two internal presentations: the 2020-2024 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, and a presentation about the condition of our state’s bridges. Public presentations include one from the Northland Chamber of Commerce concerning regional projects and needs like the Buck O’Neil Bridge, and Mayor Mike Wright of the City of Richmond will discuss local needs and concerns.

“We are pleased to welcome the Commission back to the Kansas City Region,” said District Engineer Brian Kidwell. “We are interested in sharing more about the area’s strong partnerships and its future transportation needs. We invite anyone who is interested to attend this meeting.”

The Commission holds meetings in Jefferson City for five months, while the legislature is in session; the other seven months Commission meetings are held throughout the state.
