McDonald Co. Route U Bridge Over Star Hollow Creek

CLOSED for Resurfacing Beginning Week of July 15

McDonald County –McDonald County Route U bridge over Star Hollow Creek south of Rocky Comfort will be CLOSED for up to 95 days to have its driving surface replaced starting the week of July 15, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will widen the bridge deck by two feet and replace the driving surface with a new one. Guardrail will also be upgraded.

Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.

  • Prime Contractor: Lehman Construction LLC, California
  • Completion Date: September 1, 2020 (however, the two bridges in this contract are expected to be completed by mid-November 2019)
