MACON – Weather permitting, Monday, July 29, Missouri Route 151 will close in Shelby County at Black Creek, located 0.10 mile north of Shelby County Route M near Leonard.
“We are glad to get this bridge replacement underway,” said Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Brian Untiedt. “Significant deterioration has occurred over the years, and the time to replace it has arrived,” he added.
The bridge will be closed approximately 90 days while the work is completed. The new bridge will be 24 feet wide, which is 4 feet wider than the existing one. Message boards will be in place to notify motorists of the closure.
Bleigh Construction, of Palmyra, Missouri, was awarded the project in the amount of $520,535.
