U.S. Route 61 and Routes B/E Interchange Public Meeting

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), working with its consultants Bartlett & West and Klingner & Associates, is preparing for an interchange improvement project on U.S. Route 61 in Lincoln County, located at the Routes B and E intersection near Auburn. Improvements to this location will include: 

• Intersections and safety improvements at U.S. 61 and Routes B/E intersection
• Elimination of the U.S. 61 at-grade crossings at Routes B/E and Shannon Lane/Wilson Road
• The existing U.S. 61 northbound lanes will be converted to an outer road, and new U.S. 61 northbound lanes will be constructed in the existing median
• Construct a new interchange, just north of existing Routes B/E intersection. The interchange design will include
  
  • A new bridge consisting of 12-foot lanes with 4-foot shoulders 
  • Two roundabouts, located on the east and west ramp terminal intersections
