Public meeting tonight on Route T bridge rehabilitation project in Moniteau County

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The Missouri Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting tonight, June 2, to gather community feedback on 2027 plans to rehabilitate the Moniteau County Route T bridge over Burris Fork Creek, south of CaliforniaThe open-house style public meeting will run from 4:30-6 p.m. at the California City Hall.  

In order to extend the life of the 66-year-old bridge so it can continue to serve the roughly 500 motorists who cross it on an average day, the expansion joint needs removed and the supporting structure requires repair work. 

Community input is essential to help guide the design and construction process. By commenting, questioning, and providing insight during the in-person meeting and the three-week comment period. Ways to submit input: 

  • In-person - An open-house style public meeting will be held June 2, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at California City Hall located at 500 S Oak Street in California, Missouri. The project team will be on hand to answer questions, provide information, and receive input about the project. There will be no formal presentation, so attendees may come and go as they please at any time during the advertised hours. 
  • Online All meeting exhibits are available on this website, and feedback may be submitted using the form below through June 9, 2026.  
  • By email  Send comments through June 9, 2026, to CDCR@modot.mo.gov with the subject line: Route T Bridge Rehabilitation over Burris Fork Creek in Moniteau County.  
  • By traditional mail  Comments may be mailed to Missouri Department of Transportation, 1511 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, MO 65109, postmarked by June 9, 2026. Please reference: Route T Bridge Rehabilitation over Burris Fork Creek in Moniteau County.
