FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why is MoDOT rehabilitating the bridge?

Built in 1960, the bridge requires rehabilitation to extend its useful life. This work will include replacing the expansion joint and repairing the supporting structure.

The proposed traffic control plan calls for closing Route T for an estimated 30 days during construction, with a signed detour via Missouri Route 87 and Moniteau County Route C.

Why close the road?

At 22 feet wide, there is not enough space to complete the work half at a time in a way that is safe for workers and motorists.
