Public input sought on Phelps County bridge project

MoDOT to hold public meeting in Rolla and three-week open comment period

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking community input on a project which will replace the Phelps County Route HH bridge over Spring Creek, north of Rolla. No detour will be signed, but motorists will be alerted well ahead of the closure to use an alternate route.

The public is invited to attend an open-house style public meeting on WednesdayMay 20at Fellowship Hall at the Spring Creek Baptist Church, located at 14975 State Route HH, Rolla. Visitors may stop by at any time between 4:3and 6 p.m. to speak with project team members, view exhibits outlining the planned workask questions, and leave comments. There will be no formal presentation. Meeting materials will also be available online at the link below. MoDOT is committed to providing equal access to this event for all participants. If you need a reasonable accommodation or translation services, please contact MoDOT, Friday, May 15 by calling 573-522-5178 or by emailing CDCR@modot.mo.gov, so arrangements can be made.

In addition to the public meeting, there will be a three-week open comment period running May 13 – June 3, 2026. Input may be submitted online through a form on the project webpage linked below, emailed to CDCR@modot.mo.gov, or mailed to 1511 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, MO, 65102.
