St. Joseph, Mo. – Ti-Zack Concrete, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, is scheduled to begin a sidewalk improvement project on Route E in Sumner on Tuesday, April 7. The project to help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), funded in part through the Transportation Alternatives Program, will improve sidewalks in Bosworth, Hale, Keytesville, Mendon, Norborne, Rothville and Sumner.
Traffic Impacts: Some lane closures will be necessary throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow all traffic control, flaggers, signs and barricades. All vehicles and personal property will need to be removed from the work area prior to start of construction.
Listed below is the tentative schedule of work:
- Sumner (Route E): April 7-27
- Rothville (Route EE): April 20-May 18
- Mendon (Route CC): May 7-28
- Keytesville (Route K): May 20-29
- Norborne (Route D): May 25-June 29
- Bosworth (Route M): June 18-July 9
- Hale (Missouri Route 139): July 1-10.
Once the sidewalk replacements are complete, crews will install signs and pavement markings.
The project is expected to be complete by late July.
