Delayed: Putnam County Route FF Shoal Creek Bridge to close March 9

Bridge deck replacement project in Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan counties

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted E&C Bridge, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on four bridges in Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan counties. The Putnam County Route FF bridge over Shoal Creek, near Livonia, originally scheduled to close on Monday, Feb. 23, has been delayed until Monday, March 9, due to contractor schedule changes.

Traffic Impacts: The Route FF bridge will be closed beginning March 9 through mid-May. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route around the closure.

Listed below are the remaining bridges included in this project with estimated start dates:

  • The Mercer County Route JJ over West Honey Creek, near Spickard, closed through early April.
  • Mercer County Route E over West Medicine Creek, near Harris, scheduled to begin March 10.
  • Sullivan County Route OO over Locust Creek, near Milan, scheduled to begin in May.
