JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking community input on a project to replace the Missouri Route 32 bridge over Huzzah Creek in Dent County. Built in 1931, the Huzzah Creek bridge is in poor condition, showing signs it has reached the end of its useful life, and in need of replacement. The roadway is anticipated to remain open during construction, with a one-lane temporary bypass in place and temporary traffic signals directing motorists through the work zone.
As part of the design process, MoDOT is seeking community input and has multiple ways by which interested parties can provide feedback during the open comment period, Jan. 27 – Feb. 17, 2026. By commenting, questioning, and providing community insight, the public’s input is essential in helping to guide the design and construction process.
- In person – An open-house style public meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Boss Assembly of God Church, 22651 E Highway 32, in Boss. The project team will be on hand to answer questions, provide information, and receive input about the project. There will be no formal presentation, so attendees may come and go as they please at any time during the advertised hours.
- MoDOT is committed to providing equal access to this event for all participants. If you need a reasonable accommodation or translation services, please contact MoDOT, Friday, Feb. 6 by calling 573-522-5178 or by emailing CDCR@modot.mo.gov, so arrangements can be made.
