JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – As part of the interchange improvements at U.S. Route 63 and Boone County Route AC (Grindstone Parkway), a temporary, around-the-clock closure of Lenoir Street is scheduled to begin Oct. 20. Contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close Lenoir Street from Grindstone Parkway to the main entrance to Lenoir Woods. This will also affect the northernmost entrance to Lenoir Woods.
Motorists will need to use an alternative route around the closure.
This closure will allow the contractor to complete the connection between the existing alignment of Lenoir Street and the new portion. The around-the-clock closure is expected to take approximately one month to complete. Once this work is completed, traffic will shift to the new alignment of Lenoir Street and a new off-ramp for northbound U.S. Route 63 traffic will be constructed along the existing alignment of Lenoir Street.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
