Seymour, Webster County—The Missouri Department of Transportation is inviting those interested in viewing the proposed improvements for the U.S. Route 60 Intersection Improvements Project at Webster County Route C/Route K in Seymour to a public hearing.
The public hearing will be held 4:30 – 6 p.m., Monday, September 29, at the Seymour Middle School Cafeteria, 501 E Clinton Ave, Seymour. All interested individuals will have the opportunity to share their views on the design and construction of the proposed improvements in Webster County. Comments may address the project’s economic and social impacts, its effects on the environment, and how well it aligns with the community’s goals and objectives. The hearing will follow an open-house format, allowing attendees to drop in at any time during the scheduled hours to discuss the project and share their comments.
Those unable to attend the in-person hearing can view exhibits and get project information by visiting www.modot.org/southwest. Comments on this project can be mailed in, emailed, or submitted online through the project website until Monday, October 13.
This informational hearing marks the third in a series of public meetings held to engage the community on this project. Previous opportunities for public input were offered in March 2023 and May 2024.

Project highlights:
- New interchange at U.S. Route 60 and Webster County Route C/K to improve safety and traffic flow
- Realign Route K to the new interchange and connect Hutchens Industries drive to the new interchange
- Construct Outer Roads for improved connectivity north of Route 60, from Enterprise Drive to Skyline Road
- U.S. Route 60 Intersection Improvements at West Clinton Avenue to include a J-turn access.
- Remove 2 signalized intersections and crossovers: Route C/K and West Clinton Avenue
- Remove 2 unsignalized intersections and crossovers: Skyline Drive and Lynch Drive
Expected traffic impacts during construction:
- Lane closures on Route 60 at times
- Narrowed lanes at times
- During higher traffic volume, drivers can expect occasional delays
- Crews and equipment close to traffic
- Temporary partial driveway and access disruptions
Construction is expected to begin in 2027, with a December 2029 completion date.
Estimated project cost: $32.8 million
