Lenoir Street to close overnight Sept. 3

Work scheduled as part of the U.S. Route 63 and Route AC interchange improvements

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Interchange improvements at U.S. Route 63 and Boone County Route AC (Grindstone Parkway) will temporarily close Lenoir Street overnight tonight. The contractor plans to close Lenoir Street, just south of New Haven Road, from 7 p.m. Sept. 3 through 6 a.m. Sept. 4 for the installation of storm sewer pipe. Motorists will need to use an alternative route around the closure.

Because the existing roadway is narrow, and the depth at which the new pipe must be installed, the roadway must close. The storm sewer work is only expected to take one night to complete.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
