Harrison County I-35 under the Route N bridge now scheduled to close Aug. 26-Sept. 5

Harrison County Route N bridge deck replacement project

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Capital Paving & Construction, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on the Harrison County Route N bridge over Interstate 35 near Eagleville. In order to remove the bridge deck, the contractor will close I-35 under the Route N bridge overnight beginning Aug. 26.

Traffic Impacts:

Interstate 35: I-35 under the Route N bridge will be closed overnight in both directions Aug. 26–Sept. 5. The interstate will close weeknights beginning at 7 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. the next day. During the closure, I-35 traffic will be directed up and over the ramps at Route N (Exit 106).

Route N: The bridge over I-35 will be closed Aug. 25 through Dec. 1, 2025. Motorists will not be able to cross the bridge. There will be no access to/from Route N during the I-35 closure. Route N motorists will need to seek an alternate route.
