ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Zounds Creek Bridge on Gentry County Route B, north of Stanberry, is scheduled to close this coming Monday, Aug. 18, for a bridge deck replacement project.
The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted Capital Paving & Construction, LLC to replace the deck of the Zounds Creek Bridge in Gentry County and the East Fork Grand River Bridge and the Middle Creek Fork Grand Bridge on Worth County U.S. Route 169.
Traffic Impacts: During construction, Route B will be closed at the Zounds Creek Bridge. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route during the closure. The Zounds Creek River Bridge is expected to reopen by in October 2025.
