SIKESTON—The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace four bridges on Route 77 and two bridges on Route 80 in Mississippi County.
The bridges on Route 77 include:
- Lateral Ditch 3, located between County Road 312 and County Road 314, north of Deventer, Missouri
- Main Ditch, located between County Road 334 and Route F
- Lateral Ditch 4, located north of the intersection of Routes 77 and 80, known as Thirtyfour Corner
- Lateral Ditch 7, located between County Road 507 and County Road 502
The bridges on Route 80 include:
- Drainage Ditch 23, located between County Road 515 and Route AA
- Drainage Ditch 29, located west of the intersection of Routes 77 and 80, known as Thirtyfour Corner
Work to replace the bridges could begin as early as spring 2027. As construction is underway, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of each structure for approximately four months.
Maps, plans, and other information prepared by MoDOT will be available for public inspection and copying at MoDOT’s Sikeston District office, 2675 N. Main St. in Sikeston, Missouri.

Any person affected by this project may request that a public meeting be held in regard to the proposed improvements. Requests for a public meeting shall be in writing and must be submitted to Assistant District Engineer Jason Williams at 2675 North Main St., Sikeston, MO 63801, by Sept. 2, 2025
