Springfield – Sunshine Street (Missouri Route 413) over MNA Railroad in Springfield is to CLOSE for a bridge replacement project, which is scheduled to begin Monday, August 4, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The bridge replacement will require Sunshine Street (Missouri Route 413) over MNA Railroad to be CLOSED for up to four months to allow contractor crews to replace the bridge and add/improve pedestrian facilities on both sides of the roadway from Scenic Avenue to Marion Avenue. The bridge was scheduled to close on March 17, but was delayed due to the MNA Railroad.
Traffic impacts during construction:
- Route 413 (Sunshine Street) CLOSED from east of Scenic Avenue to west of Marion Avenue for up to 4 months during construction
- Detour: James River Freeway, Kansas Expressway, Chestnut Expressway, and U.S. Route 160
- Drivers are urged to use alternate routes during construction to avoid the work zone
- Electronic message boards and news releases will notify the public of traffic impacts
