CLAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting lane closures on northbound and southbound Missouri Route 1 between NE 72nd St. to NE Brooktree Lane for pavement reconstruction. All work is weather permitting. This is not a complete closure, but motorist may experience delays.
See below for traffic modifications:
- The NB lanes of MO 1 will be moved over to the SB lanes in a head-to-head configuration with one through lane each direction beginning on approx. Tuesday, July 15 at 6:00 a.m. until late September.
This work is a part of corridor improvements taking place on MO Route 1, for details visit the project page here: Missouri Route 1 Corridor Upgrades in Clay County | Missouri Department of Transportation
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
