Ozark – Those interested in the Missouri Route 14 Widening Project in Ozark are invited to a public meeting to discuss proposed improvements and project information on Tuesday, July 8, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The come-and-go style meeting will be held 4:30 – 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, at the Christian County Ambulance District, 320 N 20th Street, Ozark. No formal presentation is planned. Those who attend may come at any time between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to learn about the project and ask questions.

Project highlights:
- Widen Route 14 to five lanes — two lanes in each direction, with a designated center turn lane — between 6th Avenue and 14th Avenue in Ozark
- Replace the traffic signal at 6th Avenue
- Install sidewalk addition parallel to Route 14
Traffic Impacts
- Lane closings on Route 14
- Traffic shifts away from construction work
- Side streets and sidewalks CLOSED at times
- Entrances closed one-half at a time or completely, if two entrances exist
- Crews and equipment close to traffic
Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2027.
The estimated project cost is $8.6 million. The sidewalk installation on Route 14 is a cost-share with the City of Ozark.
