JOHNSON COUNTY – The U.S. Highway 50 westbound bridge over Union Pacific Railroad is NOW OPEN. MoDOT began bridge rehabilitation operations in February 2024. The project Is 1.2 miles east of Missouri Route 23 and 0.5 miles west of Route D in Knob Noster.

Traffic Modifications for Final Work:
- Single lane closures in each direction NOW until approx. Wed., Nov. 27 at 12 p.m.
- Single lane closure in each direction starting on approx. Mon., Dec. 2 – Fri. Dec. 6.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
