SIKESTON―Route 160 in Howell County will be closed as contractor crews construct a new bridge over the BNSF railroad.
This section of roadway is located from Business 63 to St. Louis Street in West Plains, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, Nov. 11 with anticipated completion on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025. The closure will remain in place 24 hours a day until the work is completed.
A signed detour route will be in place. Motorists will take Business 63 to Missouri Ave., turn east on Thornburgh St. to St. Louis St., and continue to Route 160. Airport Road will not be impacted on the eastside of the railroad at this time.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
