Now Open: Southbound I-29 through St. Joseph

Buchanan County Cook Road Bridge rehabilitation project

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The southbound lanes of Interstate 29 have reopened to traffic. Clarkson Construction Company, along with the Missouri Department of Transportation, completed painting work on the west side of the Cook Road Bridge this evening, Thursday, Oct. 17.

The contractor also reopened the Cook Road Bridge this afternoon following a rehabilitation project which replaced the driving surface and added a sidewalk on the south side of the bridge. The City of St. Joseph also allocated funds to enhance the aesthetics of the bridge by adding decorative fencing and concrete.
