St. Joseph, Mo. – The Carroll/Chariton County Route M bridge over the Grand River east of Bosworth will close next week for a bridge rehabilitation project. Hardy Construction, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will close Route M at the bridge over the Grand River on Monday, July 15. The bridge is expected to remain closed until Oct. 1, 2024.
The bridge, built in 1983, carries approximately 300 vehicles per day. The project will include replacing the bridge’s deck, barriers and approaches, along with sealing the bridge structure and various drainage work.
During the closure, motorists will need to seek an alternate route.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
