Howard County Route P scheduled to close after Memorial Day

Bonne Femme Creek Bridge deck replacement project begins May 28

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The project to replace the bridge deck (driving surface) of the Howard County Route P bridge over Bonne Femme Creek, at the east city limits of New Franklin, is scheduled to begin immediately following the Memorial Day holiday. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Gene Haile Excavating, Inc. to complete the project. Route P is expected to close to all traffic at the bridge on Tuesday, May 28, and remain closed around-the-clock through the end of August. During the closure, motorists will need to use an alternate route.
