Commission Awards Contracts for Southeast District Projects

SIKESTON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for the Southeast District during its regular meeting on April 3. Contracts included pavement repairs, bridge replacements, signal improvements, and sign replacements.

Contracts included the following:

  • A $569,500 contract was awarded to Putz construction, LLC, for concrete pavement repairs on non-interstate highways throughout the Southeast District.
  • A $4,340,524 contract was awarded to Robertson Contractors, Inc., for bridge improvements at the following locations:

A bridge replacement over Drainage Ditch 2 and Lateral Ditch 2, north of Campbell, Missouri on Route 53 in Dunklin County,

A bridge deck replacement over the St. Francois River on Route U in Butler County,

A bridge replacement over Drainage Ditch 1, near Glennonville, Missouri on Route J in Dunklin County, and;

A bridge replacement over Lateral Ditch No. 2, near Glennonville, Missouri on Route H in Dunklin County.

  • A $742,655 contract was awarded to Koch Electric, Inc., for signal improvements at the intersection of Route 74 and Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau County.
  • A $2,259,000 contract was awarded to Pace Construction Company, for pavement improvements on Interstate 55 from near Route FF to Route KK in Cape Girardeau County.
  • A $1,734,955 contract was awarded to JM Scheilde, LLC, for sign replacements at various locations throughout the Southeast District.
  • A $2,627,000 contract was awarded to West Plains Bridge & Grading, LLC, for a bridge replacement over Logan Creek on Route B in Reynolds County.
