MoDOT to close Carondelet under Interstate 55 in city for two weeks

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Carondelet near Interstate 55 in the city of St. Louis should be aware of a long-term closure starting next week.

Crews will close Carondelet under the interstate, starting Monday, April 8 at 8:30 a.m. to remove the deck from the southbound I-55 bridge over Carondelet. The road will be closed around the clock for two weeks. Through traffic can use Morganford and Weber to detour around the closure.

The ramp from Carondelet to southbound I-55 is currently closed and should remain closed for another three weeks. Drivers can use existing detours on Weber, Morganford and Bayless.
