Commission Awards Contracts for Southeast District Projects

SIKESTON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded contracts for the Southeast District during its regular meeting on March 6. Contracts included pavement improvements and bridge washing.

Contracts included the following:

  • A $183,800 contract was awarded to AAD Contracting, Inc., for washing the bridge on Interstate 155 over the Mississippi River in Pemiscot County.
  • A $3,009,744 contract was awarded to Apex Paving Co., for resurfacing Route 72 from Route 34 to the intersection of Routes 61 and 25 in Cape Girardeau County.
  • A $422,114 contract was awarded to Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., for pavement reconstruction at the weigh station on Interstate 57 near Charleston, Missouri in Mississippi County.

Additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.
