Buck O'Neil Bridge North Arch Blast Taking Place Today, Feb. 15

JACKSON COUNTY – Missouri Department of Transportation staff along with several other project staff are working together to prep for the north arch blast of the Buck O’Neil Bridge on Thursday, Feb. 15. As part of this planned event, there will be intermittent closures on northbound U.S. 169 from 5th Street to Richards Road. This is the first of three blasts taking place to bring down the entire bridge. Future blasts will take place in coming months. This event is closed to the public for safety purposes. The blast will take place at approximately 9:15 a.m. and the area is secured.
