ST. CHARLES COUNTY – Work to close northbound and southbound Cave Springs Road over Interstate 70 has been rescheduled due to forecasted inclement weather.
Crews will close the Cave Springs Road overpass on Wednesday, November 29 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Drivers should consider alternate routes overnight during the closure.
All Cave Springs interchange ramps will remain open for right turns only during the overnight closure. This work is part of a traffic shift on the Cave Springs Road interchange as crews work to finalize the interchange. All work is weather permitting.
The Cave Springs and Zumbehl interchanges are being converted into single point urban interchanges (SPUI) for the I-70 Cave Springs to Fairgrounds Design-Build Project. As construction on this project progresses, both interchanges will remain open to drivers.
