Cole County Route D bridge over U.S. Route 50 reopens

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Cole County Route D bridge over U.S. Route 50 reopened to motorists earlier than anticipated. Construction crews worked diligently to complete repairs and restored access to the bridge on Thursday, Oct. 19.

E & C Bridge, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed Route D over U.S. Route 50 on Oct. 16 to remove and replace the compression seals, repair the concrete, and apply a protective coating where needed. A signed detour was in place for the duration of the 3-day closure.

While the construction crew will have more work to complete on the Route D and Truman Boulevard overpass bridges to wrap up the rehabilitation projects, it is not expected to impact traffic.
