Boone County Route F reopens at Perche Creek, closes at Coon Creek

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Construction crews have completed work on one bridge along Boone County Route F and are starting work on another. Motorists can now access Route F over Perche Creek but will need to use an alternative route over Coon Creek.

The Perche Creek Bridge closed for a rehabilitation project on June 5, restricting travel along Route F between Porter Road and Perche Church Road. Crews have completed the bridge deck replacement and reopened the road.

The contractor has now started working to replace the bridge over Coon Creek. Route F is now closed between Stidham Road and Carr Lane. The road is expected to remain closed through October. This is the final planned closure for this multi-bridge project.

Additional planned work included in this project:

  • Missouri Route 124 over Grindstone Creek: Single-lane closures with flaggers Aug. 3-9, 2023, bridge rehabilitation.
  • Route F at Blaze Creek: Work to take place off the roadway with short-term lane closures and minimal traffic impact expected Oct. 10 - 16, 2023.

All work is weather dependent, and planned schedules are subject to change.

The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Don Schnieders Excavating Company, Inc., to complete the four bridge projects. Visit the project page to learn more: https://www.modot.org/boone-county-routes-f-and-124-bridge-projects.
