MoDOT to hold public meeting in Fulton

Intersection improvements planned on U.S. Route 54

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The Missouri Department of Transportation will host an open-house style public information meeting to discuss plans for intersection improvements to U.S. Route 54 in Fulton. The addition of deceleration and acceleration lanes, installing offset left-turn lanes, and removing the crossover at the intersection with Old Jefferson City Road/County Road 306 will help improve safety and traffic flow.

Motorists and area residents are invited to the meeting on Thursday, June 29, at the Fulton City Hall Council Chambers, 18 East 4th Street in Fulton.  Attendees may come and go as they please at any time from 4:30 to 6 p.m., as there will be no formal presentation. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions and provide information. Exhibits will be available showing the work currently being planned at the intersection.

Attendees may leave comments with the project team, either verbally or written. Written comments will also be accepted by mail, postmarked on or before July 14, to:
