Route M Median Crossover at St. Lukes Church Rd. Closes Thursday, June 8 and J-Turns Open

JEFFERSON COUNTY – Motorist in Jefferson County who access Route M via crossover left-turns from St. Lukes Church Rd. will now have a new way of doing so starting Thursday, June 8 at 3 p.m.  Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will permanently close the Route M median crossover at St. Lukes Church Rd., and the new J-turns at the intersection will be opened.  During the closure, work will continue to modify left-turn lanes.

Additionally, the new J-turn configuration at the intersection of Route M and Moss Hollow Rd. will be complete and open at the same time as St. Lukes Church Rd.

A J-turn is a specialized intersection where, rather than crossing traffic, motorists turn right, merge into the left lane and then make a U-turn at a designated point.

All work is dependent on the weather.  To find out more about Route M improvements, visit https://www.modot.org/route-m.
