Callaway County Route J to close next week for bridge project

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Callaway County Route J will close next week at the Millers Creek Bridge for a bridge rehabilitation project. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Gene Haile Excavating, Inc., to replace the deck of the Millers Creek Bridge, located approximately 7 miles south of Interstate 70, west of Fulton.

The contractor plans to close the bridge to all traffic on Monday, June 12. During the closure, traffic will be directed over a signed detour on Route H, U.S. Route 54, and Route F. The roadway is expected to reopen in early September.
