Railroad crossing repairs to close Cole County Route NN in Centertown next week

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The railroad crossing on Cole County Route NN (Monroe Street) in Centertown is scheduled to close June 8-9 for repairs. Contractors for the Union Pacific Railroad, working under a Missouri Department of Transportation permit, will close Monroe Street to all traffic at 8 a.m. June 8. The roadway is expected to reopen at or before 5 p.m. June 9.

During the closure, motorists should use signed detour over Route U, U.S. Route 50, Lookout Trail (Old 50) and Route Z.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
