JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – Boone County Route F will close next week for the first of four bridge projects. This bundle of projects includes two planned closures on Route F, work on Route 124, and work off the roadway on Route F.
The first closure on Route F is scheduled to begin Monday, June 5, at the Perche Creek Bridge, located between Porter Road and Perche Church Road, for a bridge rehabilitation project. The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Don Schnieders Excavating Company, Inc., to complete this project and three others in the area.
The contractor’s planned schedule of work and anticipated traffic impacts are as follows:
- Route F over Perche Creek: CLOSED June 5 - Aug. 3, 2023, bridge deck replacement.
- Route 124 over Grindstone Creek: Single-lane closures with flaggers July 25 - Aug. 1, 2023, bridge rehabilitation.
- Route F over Coon Creek: CLOSED Aug. 7 - Oct. 23, 2023, bridge replacement.
- Route F at Blaze Creek: short-term lane closures with minimal traffic impact expected Oct. 10 - 16, 2023, work off the roadway.
During the two scheduled closures on Route F, motorists will need to use an alternate route.
