SIKESTON - The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 15 to discuss U.S. Route 412 in Dunklin County and potential alternatives for future capacity improvements. The meeting will be held in the gym of Senath-Hornersville High School, located at 803 S. State St. in Senath, Missouri.

In 2022, MoDOT launched the Environmental Study to plan for future capacity improvements examining the 20-mile section of U.S. 412 extending from Route AC near the Arkansas border to just east of Route Y near Kennett, Missouri. The Environmental Study began the process of collecting data and gathering public input to inform study decisions. The first community briefing was held in December 2022.

During the upcoming meeting, the project team will share potential alternatives and receive additional public input. MoDOT plans to present the preferred alternative for capacity improvements to the public later this year.

All are encouraged to attend the open house public meeting, and visitors can stop by anytime between 4 and 6 p.m.
