MoDOT to Close Moss Hollow Road Crossover on Route M on April 10

JEFFERSON COUNTY – Drivers who use Moss Hollow Road in Barnhart should be aware that MoDOT will close the Moss Hollow Road crossover on Route M at 8 a.m. Monday, April 10.

The closure is expected to last six weeks.

During this phase of construction, any vehicle wanting to make a left turn at the intersection will need to use the newly constructed J-turns east and west of the intersection for access to and from Moss Hollow Road.

During the closure, crews will update drainage and build new left turn lanes from Route M to Moss Hollow Road.

Upon completion of the work, left turns will be allowed from Route M onto Moss Hollow Road. Any traffic wanting to make a left turn from Moss Hollow onto Route M will need to continue to use the J-turns east and west of the intersection.

“These modifications are being made to improve the overall safety of this intersection,” said Stephen O’Connor, Franklin and Jefferson County Area Engineer.
