Buchanan County Route Y now closed at the Bee Creek Bridge

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A section of Buchanan County Route Y is now closed at the Branch of Bee Creek Bridge, located north of Route 116. The Missouri Department of Transportation closed the bridge last night March 19, due to barrier wall and overhang damage.

A project to replace the 101-year-old Branch of Bee Creek Bridge and the Branch of Bee Creek bridge located south of Route 116 near Dearborn was awarded to Phillips Hardy Inc. The construction schedule has not been determined but the work is expected to be completed this year. More information will be provided as it becomes available. During the closure and construction, motorists will need to seek an alternate route.
