Traffic Alert: Route T bridge over I-70 to be CLOSED for replacement beginning Dec. 12
LAFAYETTE COUNTY – Crews will be replacing the Route T bridge over Interstate 70 beginning on Monday, Dec. 12, until approximately mid-May 2023. This replacement will require the total closure of northbound and southbound Route T over I-70 during this time. Additionally, I-70 below the bridge will be reduced to one lane beginning on Monday, Dec. 12 at approximately 9 a.m. until Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. for bridge demolition. This bridge is located just east of Higginsville and just west of Concordia at approximately mile marker 52. Motorists along Route T will need to seek alternate routes during the closure. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
