Missouri Regional Bridge Program Award Announcement

The Missouri Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the award of the Regional Bridge Program projects for federal fiscal years 2022-2024.

The Regional Bridge Program replaces the previous off-system local bridge replacement program (BRO) and is federally funded using BRO funds and new funds available through the Bridge Formula Program (BFP) as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).

Applications for 316 projects were received statewide with a total project cost of nearly $240 million.  One hundred and forty-five (145) projects with an estimated total project cost of approximately $121 million were awarded $107 million in regional federal funds.  Of the awarded bridge projects, 5 large bridges were selected to receive approximately $2.4 million of these federal funds.   Please see the links below for a complete list of the project awards and maps showing project locations for each of the six regions.  Please note that East-West Gateway Council of Governments will select regional bridge projects for the St. Louis District through a competitive process which begins later this year.

The sponsors of awarded projects will soon receive official project award notification from their MoDOT District Local Public Agency program coordinator with information detailing the next steps in the project implementation process.
