Community invited to discuss upcoming bridge projects

Two Buchanan County Route Y bridges to be replaced north of Dearborn

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Plans are underway to replace the two bridges over Bee Creek on Buchanan County Route Y north of Dearborn. The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public information event on Wednesday, July 13, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the North Platte Jr. & Sr. High School located at 212 W. 6th St., Dearborn, Missouri.

This will be an open house with no formal presentation. The public is invited to drop in any time between 4 and 6 p.m. Engineers and right of way employees from MoDOT and their consultants will be on hand to discuss construction plans for the bridges, right of way, potential detour routes and to hear your comments and concerns about the planned projects. The projects are currently scheduled to go out for bid to contractors in January 2023.
