Deer Creek Bridge Improvement Project Begins Monday

OSAGE COUNTY Weather permitting, contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will begin the process of replacing the deck of the Route 100 bridge over Deer Creek, west of Chamois, beginning Monday, May 23.

The bridge will be closed for up to two months during the work. A signed-detour utilizing Route 89 will be in-place for motorists during the closure.

The existing bridge was built in 1965 and has reached the point where deck replacement is necessary. More information about this project can be found at www.modot.org/DeerCreekBridgeRedeck.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.

MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists during the work. For more information and updates about this project please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit modot.org/DeerCreekBridgeRedeck. Follow the MoDOT Central Missouri District on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for project updates.
