MoDOT to close WB I-70 at Taylor May 14-16

ST. LOUIS – Drivers heading out of the city of St. Louis on Interstate 70 next weekend may want to consider alternate routes or allow extra time as the department closes the westbound interstate.

Crews will close westbound I-70 between Carrie and West Florissant Avenue to make girder repairs to the Taylor Avenue bridge over the interstate, starting at 2 a.m. Saturday, May 14, weather permitting.

The ramps from Adelaide and Carrie to westbound I-70 and the ramp from westbound I-70 to West Florissant Avenue will also be closed, starting at 1 a.m. Saturday, May 14.

All lanes and ramps will be reopened to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, May 16.

Detours for westbound I-70 and for southbound West Florissant Avenue will be marked.
